Retirement Benefits Authority Chief Executive Officer Jobs Opportunities in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesResponsible to the Board RBA for providing Strategic and Visionary Leadership and has full operational responsibility in the development, implementation and evaluation of Strategic business plans agreed by the Board.
Responsible for addressing emerging risks and development of opportunities for the Pension Industry and develop alternatives for securing and growing the Pension sector in order to protect the rights of members and beneficiaries and safeguard confidence in the Integrity of Pension Plans.
Responsible for developing and installing sound Management systems based on good Corporate Governance and best practice aimed at promoting Management controls and Financial Integrity in order to improve Organizational effectiveness.
Other duties include monitoring the implementation of Strategic Change Management plans as well as reviewing organizational performance to ensure effective allocation and utilization of organizational resources.
The Office of the Chief Executive also coordinates the Authority’s compliance programmes in line with statutory requirements, including development and implementation of accountability and performance contracts
Advise the Board on the necessary changes as per legal requirements pertaining to the status, functions and activities of RBA.
Participate in the deliberations of Board of Directors and management the committees of the Authority as required.
Represent the Authority in outside forums whenever and wherever required and coordinate industry and intra Governmental engagements.
Develop and recommend long-term strategies, business plans, and annual operating budgets; and establishes proper internal monitoring and control systems and procedures for the Authority.
Co-ordinate and prepare business related proposals, reports and other submissions for consideration.
Take primary responsibility of Risk management and control for the Authority.
Qualification
Bachelors and masters degrees in relevant fields;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Executive-Level Proficiency in Managerial Skills; (Planning, Organizing, Controlling, Directing, -coordinating);
At least fifteen (15) year of work experience with a minimum ofTen (10) years in managerial role in the retirements benefits, accounting, finance, insurance or the banking sectors.
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies in Good standing ; in Accounting,Finance, Economics, Insurance, Law or relevant field

Retirement Benefits Authority Chief Manager, Internal Audit & Risk Management Jobs Opportunities in Kenya
Responsibilities
Monitoring and evaluation of compliance with organizational procedures and regulations -- Financial Management, Information Security & Integrity, HR & Admin Functions, Compliance Procedures and Activities, Policy & Research Functions, and Records Management Procedures.
Assurance of alignment of actual expenditure against budget allocations.
Verification of accuracy of records.
Assessment of the efficacy of existing safeguards and standards by subjecting them to tests.
Re-examination and recommending amendments as necessary of the existing safeguards and standards to make them more foolproof.
Audit of reports on reconciliation and evaluation aspects of Authority’s assets.
Provision of secretariat services to the Board’s audit committee.
Preparation of internal audit reports; coordinate preparation of external audit process, and follow-up on implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce or other relevant field
Masters Degree in Business Administration or Finance Accountingor Risk Management or Economics
Membership to professional
bodies in good standing;CPA or ACCA, Certification in CIA or CISA or CRMA
At least 12 years of work experience in Internal Audit
Appreciable-level Proficiency in Managerial Skills.,(Planning, Organizing, Directing, Controlling, Coordinating)

Coordinate review of RBA’s statutory legislation
Guide the review of cross-sectoral laws in order to recommend appropriate amendments
Coordinate review of the pensions policy framework
Coordinate legal drafting
Supervise negotiation of contracts, leases, formal agreements and other legal instruments.
Participates in settlement and arbitration of disputes
Custodian of legal instruments and related items
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law;
Master’s degree in Law
Diploma in Law (from Kenya School of Law);
Proficiency in computer applications;
Minimum of 9 years post-qualification experience in legal practice
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
Current practicing certificate; and
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution

Responsibilities
Study and assimilate the obtaining situation and operations of the pensions industry
Identify the emerging problems prevalent in the industry
Analyze individual problems for pertinent details and complications
Propose viable policy reforms, product development and delivery channels together with legal and regulatory reform initiatives that would spur development and growth of the sector
Conceptualize pension industry problems appropriately to enable suitable solutions to be found
Identify and adapt research methods appropriate for studying the problems of the industry identified
Undertake research on the identified problems using appropriate methods
Profile the outcomes of research projects
Choose the research outcomes efficacious to the problems identified
Qualifications
Proficiency in computer applications, especially in SPSS, STATA, EVIEWS and excel spreadsheet;
Previously served as an Economist/Research Officer for a minimum of 6 years in a reputable organization, government department or agency;
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
Bachelor’s degree in Economics;
A Master’s degree in Economics or equivalent would be an added advantage;
