About the Role. As a key member of the consortium’s Overarching Management Team, the Head of Programme Partnerships will have strategic and operational oversight of the We Lead programme, delivering on behalf of Restless Development for the consortium. They will lead a diverse, and geographically dispersed team, applying Restless Development’s focus on youth leadership and youth led development to ensure effective programme delivery.
The Head of Programme Partnerships will make strategic links between the We Lead programme and Restless Development’s Youth Collective – ensuring that learning from We Lead is shared with young people across the globe. The Youth Collective enables youth civil society organisations, groups and networks to work together, access funding and resources, collaborate with and learn from others and to problem-solve common challenges. Members of the Youth Collective have been mapped to increase their visibility to funders and partners and provide more opportunity for connection. We are looking for a values-driven, confident leader who shares our passion for youth and youth development, someone with a senior programme management background, with knowledge of MEL and Programme Quality, Evidence and Learning and with the ability to lead from the top. Above all this is a key leadership position – strong inclusive leadership skills are a must as you drive forward this ambitious programme and lead talented teams to deliver to the highest standards.
Skills and Experience.
Restless Development invites applications from Consultants able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Experience leading and managing teams, including personnel development and capability management
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale strategic programmes across countries
and global regions
Understanding of a matrix style of working and the ability to build meaningful relationships across the global agencies
Outcome focused and proven ability to think strategically and plan, prioritise and organise a team’s work to meet organisation-wide strategic objectives
An eye for detail and a concern for accuracy, together with the ability to keep sight of the broad picture
Experience of writing technical documents for internal/external purposes, and delivering presentations to colleagues, donors and stakeholders.
Knowledge of budget tracking and monitoring
Fluent in English – both written and verbal
Desired:
Good, up to date knowledge of SRH-R approaches
