Insurance Business Analyst Vacancy in Kenya

Reporting to the Group ICT Manager, the Business Analyst’s overall purpose will be to ensure optimal availability, configuration and utilization of Resolution Insurance’s business applications in a manner that minimizes waste, creates profitable and timely solutions, and improves efficiency, whilst providing leadership to the team and applying best practice in the management of IT projects.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Administration and monitoring of business applications and business intelligence tools

2. Understand business needs for translation into technical requirements and Identify solutions to presented business problems.

3. Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.

4. Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

5. Improve systems by analyzing requirements and current practices and designing new programs/modifications.

6. Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

7. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

8. Design of testing and training scenarios and plans for company business applications.

9. Training users periodically on system improvements

10. Business process analysis and business process improvements

11. Change management

12. Business and ICT relationship management

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential
1. Bachelors Degree in IT/Computer Science
2. 3-5 years working experience
3. Good knowledge of Windows client and Server Platforms.
4. Expertise in SQL Server.
5. Good Problem solving skills and highly analytical

Desirable
1. Excellent Leadership skills
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Insurance Database Administrator Vacancy in Kenya

Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, the Database Administrator’s overall purpose will be to to ensure optimal availability, performance, configuration and utilization of Resolution Insurance’s databases and applications in a manner that minimizes waste, is profitable and creates timely solutions, while improving efficiency, and applying best practice in the management of databases.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Capacity planning for creation, maintenance, backup and recovery of databases etc.

2. Control migrations of programs, database changes and reference data through the development life cycle.

3. Implement and enforce security for all of the databases.

4. Undertake database maintenance plans to ensure maximum uptime.

5. Develop standards to ensure that all application designs and code are produced with proper integrity, security and performance.

6. Evaluate releases of SQL server and Oracle and its tools, and third party products to ensure that the site is running the products that are most appropriate.

7. Provide technical support to application development teams.

8. Enforce and maintain database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.

9. Administer all database objects and assist with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.

10. Troubleshoot with problems regarding databases, applications and development tools.

11. Monitoring and testing disaster recovery database and backups.

12. Implement DBA best practices and incorporate them in DBA procedures.

13. Monitoring database efficiency

14. Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted

15. Create and maintain database dictionaries and related database documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential
1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science
2. At least 3 years working experience
3. MS SQL DBA Certification and Experience in MySQL
4. Proficiency in windows server (preferably 2008/2012)

Desirable
1. Certification in MySql and Oracle
2. Knowledge in Microsoft and SAP business intelligence
3. Experience in Data warehousing
4. Project management Skills

Insurance Unit Manager Vacancy in Kenya

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Unit Manager’s overall purpose will be to ensure the revenue generation for the company as per assigned budgets through the generation of business within the unit.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Revenue generation and attainment of assigned budgets.

2. Recruitment of sales staff.

3. Guide and coach unit team to ensure budgets are met.

4. Client presentations on company products.

5. Daily supervision of teams’ activities.

6. Generate timely and accurate sales reports.

7. Conduct market research.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
1. Diploma in a relevant field.
2. At least 1-3 years relevant work experience.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal and PR skills.
4. Good supervisory skills

Desirable
1. Bias in medical insurance Business
2. Working knowledge of MS Office.
3. Good time management and organizational skills.
