In pursuit of our ambitious growth plan, we are looking to fill the position below in our IT Department.
IT Infrastructure Team Lead
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of IT, the job holder’s role will be primarily accountable for the operations of the Data Center and Networks. He/she will also be responsible for the security of the ICT Infrastructure in the organization.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Administer all WAN, LAN & Security technologies and functions that include (but not limited to); firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication processes, content filtering systems, Anti-Virus, application interface security, incident response, infrastructure and applications security including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and resolutions on all technical systems.
Responsible for the management of the technical team that administer and ensure high availability of Resolution Insurance corporate information systems including but not limited to the Medical, GIB and Finance Systems, Email, Printing server, Antivirus, Internet proxy, and other applications critical to business operations.
Ensures I.T change management procedures are adhered to with respect to Resolution corporate network and server environment.
Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
Implements and administers software and hardware security controls to protect corporate information from both internal and external risks.
Ensuring Network resources including servers, printers, UPSs, & other peripherals on both wired and wireless connectivity are available to users at all times.
Maintains documentation relating to setup, configuration and ensures they are up to date.
Conducting RCA of recurring and related operating system, network
data backups, server environment failures/inefficiencies by reviewing system logs, dumps and other information from clients or technical personnel.
Ensure systems backup procedures and recovery operations when necessary as per policy
Perform long-range and capacity planning studies to determine the type of resources needed to support expected volume, type of application systems and operating assurance.
Ensure initial setup, software installation and testing of computer server systems.
Manage performance of software patching and systems compliance within applicable standards.
Ensure the assistant system administrator in troubleshooting hardware/software problems and system failures.
Work with hardware and software vendors to diagnose and correct problems.
Manage network and system related Service Level Agreements both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Knowledge & Experience Required
Undergraduate degree in IT.
Minimum Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
Experience with designing, deploying and supporting Check Point, Cisco and VPN devices.
Microsoft certification
A minimum of 8 years working experience, 2 of which is in a similar position.
Project Management
Experience in Data Center design and installation & Data Storage architecture
Working knowledge of ITIL, MCITP and VCP.
Good Problem solving skills and highly analytical
