Job DescriptionOur Company is looking for candidates for position of Project Manager.
Job Purpose:
To define, manage and deliver corporate projects and programs to ensure projects produce the required products and benefits, within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits to deliver the E-ገንዘብ IT Strategy.
To define business, ICT systems and service requirements for service areas within Ethiopia and to introduce solutions to meet these requirements; resulting in cashless payment system and identified business benefits being realized.
To be part of a permanent in-house program team, providing organizational learning, improved capability, resilience and value for money and agent banking.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
To deliver projects and programs based on agreed priorities for business, I.T. Systems and service requirements for, recommend appropriate solutions and prepare specifications required for those solutions.
To actively engage with all stakeholders during the course of a project and communicate effectively on project progress and deliverable's and work with service areas to ensure they are well received by the recipients of the change and that the project is successfully delivered and identified benefits realized.
To contribute towards the development of IT project management and governance framework including standardized project documentation templates.
To apply the agreed project management framework for the project (using relevant project standards- where relevant) in order to ensure that projects are, defined, developed, governed and managed in a consistent manner across the organization.
To secure and allocate financial resources, as necessary for project work, working within an allotted budget and monitoring spend for each project, making appropriate adjustments within agreed limits in order to see a project through to successful conclusion.
To negotiate and communicate with relevant service area stakeholders to ensure that necessary people resources/skills are available to meet project timescales and resource requirements.
To manage the work and priorities of the project team throughout the project life cycle, defining appropriate products, standards and timescales in accordance with the agreed in-house project management framework, to ensure that the project delivers quality products to time and within budget.
To act as key adviser to project and product boards, resolving issues and recommending corrective action as appropriate so that projects are sustained and implemented, risks are identified, mitigated and managed, whilst ensuring compliance with the agreed decision making process/project governance arrangements.
To manage the preparation and updating of all project documentation ensuring compliance with the agreed project and program governance arrangements, using the agreed in-house project management framework, guidance and associated templates.
To clearly define and seek agreement for project objectives, plans, costs and performance measures to ensure that work is carried out in a timely and effective manner and to meet budgets and deadlines where applicable, ensuring project changes are appropriately controlled.
If appropriate, to prepare invitations to tender and manage the tender process through to successful completion in accordance with the company procurement rules to ensure that the company gets value for money and services/resources secured are relevant and represent good practice.

Education/training
Graduate level or equivalent professional qualification or significant relevant project and program management experience.
Bachelor lever professional qualification and experience on IT related projects
Prince 2 or equivalent qualification or relevant business experience
MSP or equivalent qualification or relevant business experience
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge & Experience
Excellent knowledge and experience of using project/change management concepts and methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, LEAN, (or equivalent), and the project development lifecycle.
Good work experience in project based software development company
IT Project management experience
Significant knowledge of complex ICT systems interfaces and impact
Experience of developing capabilities of ICT to meet business needs, including I.T. systems requirements specification.
Experience of managing stakeholder relationships within complex projects with the ability to manage and resolve conflict, meet challenging deadlines and delivering under pressure.
Significant experience of managing budgets.
Experience of managing organizational change and supporting people through behavioral, system and process change
Experience of risk identification, mitigation, and management
Procurement and/or Contract Management experience
Experience of working within a housing environment
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences, internal and external
Excellent IT skills, demonstrating significant degree of IT and project literacy ideally developed through project delivery on complex, high profile IT projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the respect of multi-professional teams, enthuse and motivate individuals and teams
Ability to undertake research, interpret complex documents and brief managers using Plain English
Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to plan and deliver objectives within an agreed time frame.
Shows initiative and takes appropriate action without needing direction and instruction from others but within the remit of the role
Excellent team working skills, working together to deliver results
Excellent change management skills to ensure change is embedded within the business
