Job Description

We currently seek a Research & Development Intern in our Kilifi Site to help us move our work forward, improving our process and insect performance while helping to take the technically feasible to scale.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of R&D trials for growing black soldier flies

Implement R&D trials in the field and oversee data collection

Make improvements to data collection methods and taking methods to accelerate trials

Enter trial data and manage databases differently and on time

Assist in data analysis and report writing, learning and applying statistical methods to data

Assist R&D Specialists to carry out experiments and research to support in trouble shooting

Provide on-site input for developing new protocols for the R&D team

Support field workmen in trial set up

Coordinate supply purchase/collection for trials requirements

Liaise with Production planner to utilize materials

Manage inventory of R&D equipment

Communicate with field supervisor on trial updates

Qualifications

Undergraduate or a masters degree (Science or Engineering background)

Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Mastery of Excel will be an added advantage

Strong problem solving skills

Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization

skills

Excellent communication skills on all levels
Diligent and high attention to detail
