Job Summary

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

You will handle the auditing of financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

Ultimately, you will provide the company with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of the business, while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

You will have the following responsibilities but are not limited to:

Managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Managing all accounting transactions.

Preparing budget forecasts.

Publishing financial statements on time.

Computing taxes and preparing tax returns.

Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Reconciling accounts payable and receivable.

Ensuring timely bank payments.

Managing balance sheets and profit/loss
statements.

Reporting on the company’s financial health and liquidity.

Auditing financial transactions and
documents.

Reinforcing financial data confidentiality and conducting database backups when necessary.

Complying with financial policies and regulations.

Requirements and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in

Accounting.

2-3 years cognate working experience as an Accountant or a similar position in the Accounting
Department.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.

Familiarity working with accounting software.

Outstanding understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment as and when required.

Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Good critical reasoning abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.

Salary
NGN100,000 Gross (other terms may be negotiated.)
