Repair Centre Engineer Intern Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya
Perform installation, training, servicing, repair & recalibration of company product(s), diagnosing mechanical, hardware & software, and systems failures using established procedures, whilst determining the most cost-effective repair/resolutions mechanisms to minimize customer downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively participate in quality systems and improvement.
Ensuring certificates of compliance get copied and filed.
Liaise with the supervisor to coordinate ongoing operations and expansion of the Service Centre.
Troubleshoot, repair, and recalibrate Cepheid instruments by following approved procedures.
Provide clear and concise documentation for all work in accordance with company procedures.
Complete accurate service records both electronically and manually.
Perform visual final inspection (QA) and order/replenish parts for service.
Spares management including warehouse stock levels and personal location.
Ensuring correct stickers get sent with new instruments.
Provide customer service support as shall be required, both in the workshop and on-site.
Install and train customers on the use and operation of company products.
Resolve open customer tickets on the company CRM and close on the same.
Compile to completion the required documentation and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in electronics or Biomedical engineering or
an equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning
Ability to work with other electronics test equipment
Ability to read and follow process procedures, work instructions, job standards, and related information
Possess computer and software skills (including Windows XP, Windows 7 MS Office, etc.)
Very organized and customer service oriented
Must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools (such as screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers)
Reliable, dependable, and can work independently
Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
