Job Description

Rehabilitation and Development Organization (RaDO) is looking for competent and qualified applicants for the following positions. RaDO is a National NGO currently working on the area of Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS, Gender Based Violence (GBV), etc.

Currently, RaDO is operational in the Somalia and Sudanese refugee camps located in Ethiopia.

Job Summary:

The Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Project Officer is responsible to provide overall leadership and coordination, coaching and supervision to the Refugee Staff under his/her supervision and other community partners engaged in the implementation of the project for ensuring the implementation and accomplishment of the objectives of the project under his/her responsibility.

The HIV/AIDS Project Officer is responsible to ensure that all community based activities are implemented based on the project proposal and agreement

Duration of the contract: May 01,2019-December 31,2019

Terms of Employment: On contract basis that will be renewed each year

Job Requirements

Qualification:

A minimum of BSc Degree in Nursing, Public Health and other related Social Sciences

Experience:

A

minimum of two years work experience in HIV/AIDs programs or other health programs

Knowledge of community conversation, peer education and care and support is an advantage

knowledge of the refugee setting and NGO experience is an asset

Technical Skills:

Computer Skills ( Word Processing, Spread sheet, etc)

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Sound facilitation and training skills

Ability to effectively liaise with community and other relevant stakeholders

Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, conceptual
understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development.
