Regional Sales Manager – Food Packaging & Weighing EquipmentOur client is a market leader in weighing equipment technology.They have also diversified the product range to provide quality control, handling, packaging solutions and more recently machine efficiency monitoring software.They are seeking an aggressive regional sales manager to join their expanding team.
Location:
Nairobi with travel to (Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda)
Reporting to:
Marketing Director
Key Job Function:
Overall responsibility and accountability is for the development and execution of the territory plan to include strategic and commercial expectations for the sales function within the territory, developing new customers and growing market share.
Roles and Responsibilities
Planning and execute sales visits within the assigned territory to existing and potential customers within the food and non-food industries.
Keeping territory customer records and opportunities fully up to date within the CRM system on an on-going basis.
Development of an effective marketing plan with the central marketing team
Development of the company’s sales within the identified territory with specific emphasis on market share against the competition and complete territory coverage
Preparing tenders and quotations for individual machines and turnkey projects to achieve set targets within the given budget
Maintain effective lines of communication with the Marketing Director, sales line managers and various business managers on a daily basis
Key performance Indicators will be informed by Sales Performance – performance against budget, Sales Growth Performance, Market Share Performance, Profitability Performance
Liaise with the Product/Business Managers and the product related Engineering Managers in head office in the UK
Establish and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential customers within your assigned territory
while maintaining stellar records of contacts
Approach all objectives, tasks and communication with enthusiasm and flexibility.
Skills and Qualifications
Degree in a Business related field of study
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in a B2B context preferably in technical capital equipment.
Sales experience in the food industry is desirable.
Experience in value selling.
Ability to influence and engage internal resources for the benefit of the customer whilst maintaining the interests of the company
High intellect with an ability to communicate at all levels
Show high energy levels, strong work ethic with a sense of urgency, and understand the complexity of the sales process.
Ability to travel frequently (multiple times a month) within the region (outside of Kenya) to visit customers, understand their exact requirements and progress business.
