Our client is looking for a SHEQ Officer to implement and maintain a safety system to ensure the company's compliance to all relevant SHEQ legislation appropriate to operation management and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain a SHEQ Management system in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management System requirements.

Liaise with staff, clients and suppliers in all areas concerned with safety.

Assume responsibility for SHEQ management for all operations within your area.

Communicate with the various teams the SHE requirements needed to be implemented and maintained on the sites and by suppliers/subcontractors.

Ensure suppliers/subcontractors perform their tasks according to the requirements requirements and report all deviations to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Become au fait with client’s SHE requirements and implement as necessary.

Implement and maintain the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993.

Ensure all reporting requirements that have been set out are done timeously.

Responsible for the SHE requirements of all buildings, grounds and security related to the allocated sites.

Ensure HSE compliance within the warehouse, with special emphasis on chemical storage and distribution.

Key Skills:

Computer literacy in the Google workspace tools and experience with cloud computing, such as Docusign etc.

SAMTRAC essential.

HIRA.

First Aid Level 1.

Incident/Accident investigations.

Excellent communication skills (English).

Qualifications:

Grade 12 and relevant SHEQ tertiary qualification/ studying towards is advantageous

3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
