They are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator with a strong background in logistics and agriculture to efficiently manage the operational aspects of their product inventory. They are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator with a strong background in logistics and agriculture to efficiently manage the operational aspects of their product inventory.

Responsibilities:

Coach, guide, discipline, and supervise seasonal staff to ensure adherence to operational procedures and standard

Effectively deploy labour resources to meet productivity targets and operational demandsReceive incoming tobacco following established procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Manage the storage of inventory according to established procedures and SOPs

Dispatch required tobacco to meet processing and export schedules as per SOPs.

Maintain environment and housekeeping at the tobacco processing floors to acceptable standards

Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Regulations and implementation of required systems and procedures for employees

Check and ensure that systems are in place to support operations according to SOPs.

Plan the distribution of resources for incoming and outgoing loads efficiently.

Responsible for accurate and timely reports on inventory, shipping, and tobacco dispatch according to SOPs.

Follow up on shipments until received at the destination as per SOP.

Receive shipping program and plan transport accordingly.

Prepare dispatch instructions, shipping documents, and customs invoices in line with customer requirements and SOPs.

Release dispatch instructions and shipping documents to forwarding agents as per SOPs.

Receive customs acquittals to facilitate duty draw-backs for the company.

Ensure the achievement of set targets per activity.

Prepare Post Goods Issue (PGI) in SAP daily for invoicing purposes and maintain document filing.

Key Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in using logistics management software and SAP (or similar ERP systems).

Thorough understanding of SOPs, health and safety regulations, and customs procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in logistics and operations management, preferably in the agricultural sector.
