Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven National Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. A strong bias on Key Account Management and Route to Market strategies is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring clients’ needs are met.

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.

  • Design, implement, and adjust effective RTM strategies to optimize market penetration and profitability.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities.

  • Ensure the sales team's alignment with RTM strategies and provide training as necessary.

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets.

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

  • Report
    on sales results to senior management and suggest corrective actions.

  • Allocate and manage sales budget to ensure optimum employment of resources.

  • Monitor spending against budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

    Key Skills:

  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management and Route to Market strategies.
