Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our client's equipment and systems at customer sites. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Respond to service calls and travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly.

Perform scheduled maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Provide technical assistance to customers over the phone or in person, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and resolving issues.

Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and equipment maintenance. Generate service reports and document findings.

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites.

Train customers and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for service and repairs.

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the service provided.

Key Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers

and documenting service activities.

Have good organisational skills.

Computer literacy specific to Google, Workspace and MS Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team when needed.

Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.

Proficiency in managing spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory efficiently.

Qualifications:

BSc or BTech Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Qualification or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales environment.

Minimum 3 years Water treatment experience.

Valid Driver’s License.

Ability to manage and develop business activity, both within the sales and customer environment.

Sound understanding of fundamental contractual issues, with business and commercial skills.
