Our client is looking for a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of various facilities. Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment and structural issues promptly and efficiently. Address emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and reliability of building systems and equipment.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines. Identify and rectify potential safety hazards.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and repairs. Report findings and updates to the maintenance manager.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of supplies, tools, and equipment required for maintenance tasks.

Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when specialized repairs or services are required. Ensure vendor work meets quality and safety standards.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other maintenance team members and staff to resolve maintenance issues and improve building operations.

Key Skills:

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Problem-Solving: Ability to

identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Communication: Excellent communication skills to report maintenance issues, coordinate with team members, and interact with vendors and contractors.

Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety protocols and practices in all maintenance activities.

Organization: Exceptional organizational skills to maintain maintenance records and manage inventory efficiently.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in building maintenance is a plus.

Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.

Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Basic computer skills for maintenance recordkeeping and communication.

Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
