About the job

Our client, an importer and distributor of medical supplies in Uganda, is looking for an operations manager to join their team based in Kampala. The operations manager will ensure that all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way as well as improve the operational management systems, processes and best practices.

Job Description

Oversee tender document submissions, contract management, Purchases, Sales, Stores and accounts receivable functions.

Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant

Formulate strategic and operational objectives

Manage budgets and forecasts

Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs

Find ways to increase quality of customer service

Key Skills

Excellent communication skills

Leadership ability

Outstanding organisational skills

Qualifications

Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field

Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role

Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

Experience budgeting and forecasting

Familiarity with business and financial principles

Previous experience with a medical equipment supply company or in the pharmaceutical industry is an added advantage

Knowledge of SAP is desirable
