Recours Four Kenya Psychosocial Counsellor Jobs

Recours Four Kenya is looking to hire a psychosocial counsellor to work on a number of projects. This position is based in Nairobi.

Minimum Requirements

An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Psychiatry and licensed to provide psychological counselling and/or psychotherapy services;

Additional certification is also required in any of the following broad range of related fields, such as alcohol/substance abuse, stress management, traumatic stress, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution etc;

A demonstrated minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience;

Broad knowledge of all facets of counselling services and demonstrated skills to create a trusted environment in which others can talk confidentially;

Ability to identify clients’ needs and suggest appropriate solutions;

Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation);

Conflict resolution and mediation skills; and

Skills in designing and delivering trainings/information sessions on a number of subjects and ability to adapt those to different audiences.
