Main Purpose of the Job

  • Reporting to the sales manager, the Sales executive builds business by identifying and selling prospects through individual and team effort; maintaining relationships with clients. This is achieved through the creation of ongoing activities that promote the company and its products.

  • He/She learns from his customers to meet their needs while understanding their competitors and ensuring that they provide a superior product. He/She will have a cross-functional interaction with other departments in a bid to align initiatives with the overall brand and organizational goals.

  • This individual will work closely with the necessary stakeholders to ensure that all sales targets are met. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that adequate reports are generated to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options

  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.

  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, useful information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

  • Maintaining a clear database that displays all lead contacts and the status of prospects and clients, showing the conversion rate of all leads in a particular month.

  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

  • Devise and implement strategic plans to meet customers’ demands

  • Working collaboratively with site assistants, other teams, agents including external agents to plan and implement
    familiarization programs with our portfolio

    Key Performance Measures

  • Individual sales target of 20 million, per month

  • Daily database updates, 50 entries daily and a lead generation weekly report

  • Weekly workplan report

  • Daily report on the work done achievements in ling the forecasted workplan

  • 3 new clients from the diaspora market weekly

  • All other reports monthly i.e (customer needs, target market, strategic planning, sales achievement report etc)

  • This is covered under marketing

  • At least 1 client Referral/repeat client every month not applicable sales and marketing manager function.

  • Timely and relevant reporting weekly.

    Qualifications

  • Diploma in Sales and/or Marketing or any relevant field.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the sales and marketing.

  • Computer skills.
