Job Description

  • Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa which is centrally located in Kazanchis Business District adjacent to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa conference hall (UNECA-AA) and just eight kilometres from Bole International Airport would like to announce the following open position.

    Major duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • All aspects of Human Resources related issues in the hotel as well as overseeing training and development

  • To directly line manage the HR department as well as other departments which fall under Human Resources

  • Working with different Government offices and ministries regarding any issues which require the hotels attention

  • To maintain a good working relationship with HR colleagues in the sector

  • To oversee the Responsible Business activities of the hotel

  • To deal with hiring and disciplinary measures of all staff in the hotel and work with the legal adviser on such issues

  • To advise the General Manager on all HR related issues

  • To regularly revisit the staffing structure of the hotel to ensure succession planning is in place and ensure the manpower of the hotel is fit for purpose

  • To organize different staff functions throughout the year as per the instructions of
    the line manager

    Job Requirements

    Requirement Qualifications

  • BA degree in Human Resource Management or related fields from a recognized university.

  • Relevant experience of minimum 6 years in Human Resource Administration and Management.
  • Hotel industry experience is preferable.

  • Good IT knowledge

  • Good knowledgeable of handling people, ability to work under stress and accomplish results as planned; comfortable working with multi-disciplinary team;

  • Considerate, passionate to serve, and emphatic towards people;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;

  • Excellent leader, strategic thinker and team player;

  • Out of the box human resources thinking, motivation and determination to inspire and aspire employees;

  • Willingness to be flexible and juggle priorities to get the job done;

  • Ability to be cost efficient in managing budget and expenses;

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters
