Radio Africa Mobile Applications Developer - 2 Android & 2 iOS Jobs in Kenya
Minimum RequirementsDegree in Computer Science or another technical programme such as Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
At least 2 years of experience with writing mobile apps using Android Studio, XCode, Microsoft Xamarin (or similar) for Microsoft Windows, iOS and Android platforms
Solid experience and understanding of OOP concepts and foundations
Strong understanding of various development techniques such as background processing, dependency injection and inversion of control, reactive programming, functional programming
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications and or iOS applications to back-end services.
Strong knowledge of Android and iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
Job Specification
Reporting to the Head of Development, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing mobile application development from the planning stage to roll out of applications and continuous improvement in line with the project timeline.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop custom mobile applications for Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows Platforms
Support the entire application lifecycle from requirements to design, development, deployment and maintenance of the applications
Integrate solution with backend applications
Design and develop UIs that render on multiple devices
Perform work as part of an Agile team
Work with technical peers on Database/web/mobile application designing, development, implementation and integration projects.
Design, develop and extend application programming interfaces (API) and web services
Create project documents, test documents and perform testing of applications as needed
Participate in all roll-out events and launches.

Must have the ability
to keep abreast of the latest industry trends and use to innovate better.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Results-oriented and energetic team player.
Must be comfortable working under short periods of intense pressure.
Must be a curious person dedicated to constant self-improvement.
A passion for constant improvement in artistic abilities
Must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends.
Excellent time management skills.
