Our client, a successful and leading plastics manufacturing company is urgently looking to recruit versatile, enthusiastic and well organized Quality Assurance Supervisors with a plastic injection moulding machine background.
The successful candidates will directly be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results and other matters by performing the following duties;
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Approving in-process production by confirming specifications per Job Book specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
Performing audits in accordance with the requirements listed in the job book that is created for each product.
Performing visual and physical inspection of product to ensure parts conform to customer requirements – per the job book control plan (Inspector and Auditor Section)
Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products to Production supervisor if re-work is necessary; creating Hold and Re-work Tickets
Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
Accomplishing quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Following existing QMS processes, including: Document control, inspection and test, record control, Nonconforming product (Hold Tickets), Corrective Action verification, and others as assigned.
Reading the contents of each job book each time a part is being manufactured, and ensure that the details are understood by you and the Inspector
Working with manufacturing team to ensure start-ups are effective
and that product visually is conforming
Filing job books when the order is complete, and return sample boxes to the correct location
Conducting Orientation Training for new Inspectors, when applicable
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Actively participate in the reporting of production/manufacturing issues at Tier 1 meetings, and escalate issues to Quality Assurance team or Manufacturing and Quality Manager when applicable
Any other duties as assigned
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Processing or any other related field from a recognized institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in preferably in Plastic Manufacturing Industry
Experience in plastic injection molding is a plus
Working knowledge of inspection equipment and procedures
Experience in QA a plus
Motivated to excel in a fast paced environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint
Able to function effectively in a team based environment
