About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan.

We are looking for a competent and innovative Assistant Electronic Technician

Role:

Assistant Electronic Technician

Responsibilities Include:

Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification within time frames specified in Work Orders to the required Work Standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructions

Attend to breakdowns in electronics and communications equipment

Diagnose, test and rectify faults in electronic circuits and apparatus along with finding and repairing faults in complex power supplies

Service broadcast, microwave and satellite technology, analogue, digital and data equipment and signals

Install extra low voltage wiring systems and electrical and electronic control systems

Complete job cards, system data entry and other documentation required in relation to tasks

Interpret drawings and written documents for tasks

Management and accountability of repair parts and consumables issued

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Must hold a trade Certificate III of proficiency (Electro-technology) Communication or in a similar electronics discipline

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and be a Kenyan citizen

Hold a current open C class manual drivers licence (desirable)

Previous experience

in a defence environment (desirable)

Demonstrated ability and prior experience in a similar role

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Aspiration to further self-development in courses offered (such as armourers qualification)
