Job Purpose:The Market Developer implements the sales strategies within distributor’s territories and oversees all territory sales activities to ensure market development and sales target achievement.
Distributor ManagementDaily tracking and review of the distributor sales performance
Managing distributor sales teams
Manage daily routines for the distributor sales operation teams to ensure set targets are achieved.
Manage and complete route working with distributor teams.
Attend distributor sales clinic with the distributor sales team to discuss important issues and take guidelines for smooth operations.
Responsible for supporting and hiring of sales staff and delivery of training to existing as well as new sales staff in the area of product knowledge, selling skills, role play, etc
Sales Operations
Ensure effective distributor stock management.
Drive Monthly secondary sales target achievement on volume and value.
Timely and accurate data sharing
Drive secondary sales through SFA where SFA has been deployed.
Maintain an updated EDS, EADS
Forecast distributor territory sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness.
Manage the order review process, including pricing adherence, and customer requirement clarification.
Ensure daily tracking and review of the sales management of primary and secondary sales.
Ensure surveys are done to ascertain the outlet universe and active outlets in your respective territories.
Ensure the monthly creation of outlets as per the set targets.
Ensure order generation as per the set targets.
Manage and measure sales force effectiveness-totals calls/productive calls and
line per call.
Ensure that inside advertisement of the outlets is visible and product display is as per MPL planogram.
Manage the excellent execution of trade, shopper, and consumer promotions in distributor’s territories.
Undertake employee management to deliver quality performance outcomes across the sales department.
Tracking the competitor prices at all stages in the value chain
Planning and executing of itinerary of the distributor teams.
To manage the distributors territory sales teams to achieve the sales targets.
Financial Management
Monitor and control the allocated budget
Risk Management
Identify risk due to change in channel or competitive landscape.
Compliance
Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of duties in the country.
Ensure Adherence to Company and In Country Policies and Procedures
Prepare and submit monthly reports
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field of study from a recognized university.
Minimum of (3) years’ relevant work experience in FMCG sales and distribution setting.
