Warehouse Management

• Maintain warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

• Supervise loading and off-loading of the goods to make sure it is properly undertaken.

• Goods must carefully be inspected and counted during off-loading before accepting in the warehouse and during loading before dispatch.

• Ensure warehouse is clean, dry and free from rodents/pests.

• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

• Ensure that a warehouse layout and floor plan are in place and being followed.

• Maintain good warehousing standards. Goods must be stacked on pallets and in an organized manner by type.

• Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

• Flexible to working overtime/ on shifts (within the legal limits), based on early stock or late stock deliveries.

Warehouse Management Software

• Learn and become proficient in the new warehouse management software system.

• Implement the new warehouse management software system.

• Maintain and troubleshoot the warehouse management software system.

• Train warehouse staff on how to use the warehouse management software system.

• IT Knowledge

• Have knowledge and understanding of warehouse management software systems and other relevant computer programs and technologies.

• Utilize technology to optimize the efficiency of the warehouse operations.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in warehouse management.

Quality Control

• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments meet quality standards.

• Inspect and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of inventory counts and proper storage of goods.

Staff Management

• Supervise warehouse staff.

• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

• Develop and implement training programs for warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service to clients by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and resolving any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Degree in Procurement and logistics management, Supply Chain Management, or related field or Business Administration with a specialization in Procurement & logistics management

• Previous working experience in managing a busy warehouse operation, Logistics or Inventory Manager

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization

• Previous experience with warehouse management software systems.

• Knowledge of inventory management best practices and procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong leadership and staff management skills.

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
