Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced “Cargo Sales and Services Executive” professional to join our Team in Cape Town.


Responsibilities


  • This is the perfect opportunity to use your superior skills in maximizing cargo revenue through effective sales strategies and optimum utilization of cargo capacity on Qatar Airways (QR) flights through efficient cargo planning. Another key aspects of your role would be:

  • Manage reservations and bookings based on available capacity, balancing network, yield and regularity of traffic.
  • Implement selling strategies planned by managers for the assigned station to ensure optimum revenues for Qatar Airways
  • Effectively maintain accounts and key customers and plan Sales Calls, submit Sales Calls, plan Sales Reports
    as required.
  • Assist supervisor in prioritizing on the sectors based on yield and regularity of traffic flown as booked to fulfil our commitment to regular clients.
  • Coordinate between Airport Cargo Operations and Outstations for shipments requiring Special Handling/Attention to ensure smooth movement of Cargo.
  • Provide support to finance pertaining to invoicing/follow-ups to comply with finance polices ad in meeting deadlines.


    Qualifications


  • Trade or vocational qualification however a bachelor’s degree would be preferred.
  • You should have minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Good knowledge of various aircraft configuration and capacity limitation,
  • Knowledge of cargo reservations and tracking systems
  • Awareness of cargo products, dangerous goods regulations and IATA/TACT regulations.
  • You must be computer literate and have good command of written and spoken English.
  • You should be eligible to live and work in Cape Town, South Africa
