PwC Legal Officer Job Vacancies in Kenya


Job Description

Reporting directly to the Legal Manager, the Legal Officer will be responsible for the provision of litigation support to the company in all legal related matters and may be required to represent the company in court. S/he will provide legal analysis and training on Country laws that affect the industry and strengthen the capacity of Legal Support and Litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Draft legislative proposals/amendments and contribute to the introduction of legislation that will help Company achieve its aims
  • Identify possible test cases, in conjunction with the Legal Manager that contribute to the development of policy positions, drafting policy papers and /lobbying key opinions
  • Provide legal support to Company’s services and to the Legal Manager for smooth running of operations
  • Provide input in drafting of media statements and addressing media queries
  • Monitor relevant legal developments both nationally and internationally to keep abreast with new trends
  • Ensure that Company complies with relevant legislations as maybe the requirements of the laws of the land

    Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must be an Advocate and have at least one year experience in practicing law.
  • S/he should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

    PwC Procurement Manager Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Job Description

    The Procurement Manager will be responsible to lead and drive global and regional initiatives in the Procurement operational environment for accountability of all operations as well as category performance initiatives.

    Responsibilities

  • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies for all goods and services with the best terms;-
  • Implement the Company’s Procurement strategy in close cooperation with Global and Zone Procurement;
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and delivery of quality goods and services
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services on behalf of the company;
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries and ensure the desired specifications are met and delivered;
  • Examine and test existing contracts to ensure the providers comply to the agreed terms and conditions of the contract;
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness;
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company;
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements and advise on the appropriate steps;
  • Control spend and build a culture of
    long-term saving on procurement costs.

    Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must have at least five years’ experience in a fast-paced organisation.
  • S/he should have a Master’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics or Business Administration and should be a Fellow of the Certified Professional in Supplies Management or authorised category.

    PwC Weighbridge Clerk Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Job Description

    Reporting directly to the Operations Coordinator, the Weighbridge Clerk will be responsible for the management of all weighbridge activities according to the Business Unit Standard Operating Procedures and the business code of conduct framework.

    Responsibilities

  • Comply with health and safety and report any incidents/accidents
  • Ensure trucks are accurately placed and measured on the weighbridge
  • Efficiently operate the weighbridge to record weights of vehicles
  • Issue weight measurement tickets which provide readings of vehicle and load weight
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to receipts, dispatch and invoicing in the relevant procurement systems
  • Check receipt of materials against purchase order and all other paperwork
  • Print, complete appropriate documentation and collect drivers’ signatures where required
  • Maintain the general working area of the weighbridge office in a clean, tidy and hazard free condition
  • Ensure that there is flawless and efficient receipt and dispatch of all materials; outbound and inbound
  • Implement all sales administration and weighbridge activities in line with the Contractors Safety -
  • Management Standards and Logistics Advisory requirements
  • Provide real time updates of sales and receipts of outbound and inbound materials

    Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must have at least six months to one year experience in Supply Chain Management of a large organisation.
  • S/he should have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Materials Management.
