Pwani University Assistant Registrar - Administration, Finance and Planning Grade 12 Vacancies in MombasaResponsibilitiesAssisting in the acquisition of titles for the University land in liaison with the University Lawyers
Coordinate mounting of University signage, e.g. Security alerts, displays on the gate and along the Road, name
tags for various offices, labels on various buildings, notice boards location of new boards, design, and
maintenance of the same.
Provide secretariat to relevant committees.
Coordinate opening and management of the various complaints boxes on the campus
Manage the complaints reporting desk
Managing Transport services
Implement and manage a transport management system. Prepare quarterly fuel consumption for vehicles and other equipment to the management.
Manage other equipment on campus e.g. cold rooms, generators, freezers etc. furniture on campus, database of all furniture and their location, allocation of furniture on campus, hiring wherever necessary, disposal of furniture
etc.
Security of the institution (human and assets), intelligence matters, CCTV cameras installation and maintenance, location of new camera systems on campus, location of night vision and IP CAMERAS in strategic areas.
Management of University ceremonies, public address systems, podiums, tents, chairs etc.
General outlook of the university estate, cleanliness, toilets, supervision of external service providers, beautification of campus grounds
Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Social Science or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized
University.
Applicants with Masters Degree in the relevant field will have an added advantage
Applicants should obtain clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption
Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority, Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and a valid certificate of Good
Conduct from the Kenya National Police Service.
Have high ethical standards, integrity, accountability and professionalism and good stewardship and comply with the requirements of Chapter six of the Kenya Constitution
Applicants must have at least six (6) years of continuous university service; two (2) of which, must have been as Senior Administrative Assistant I (Grade 11) or equivalent, with proven integrity, honesty, independence,
innovativeness and compliance to deadlines

Pwani University Senior Assistant Registrar (Research and Extension) Grade 13 Vacancies in Mombasa
Responsibilities
Coordinate the almanac of the Research and Extension Division
Assist in searching and identifying funding opportunities and disseminate the information to potential researchers
and academic staff in the University
Maintaining databases on
(i) Proposal submitted by Pwani University employees and students for internal and external funding, and
(ii) Internally and externally funded research projects for easy retrieval.
Support researchers and academic staff in preparing proposals and budgets
Work closely with academic Departments to ensure success in collaborative proposal development
Making follow-ups on the progress of internally funded research projects to ensure timely submission of quarterly reports for the purpose of Monitoring and Evaluation of the projects.
Assist in the Preparation and revision of draft Memoranda of Understanding or Agreements for possible
collaboration and maintain and update data bank
Assisting in the coordination of internal events such as Workshops/Seminars, MOU signing ceremonies, Public talks and Open days to ensure success of the events.
Coordinating external events such as Agricultural Shows to ensure the University successful participation in the
events.
Qualifications
Applicants should

Be conversant with operation, relevant policies and procedures in institutions of higher learning

Pwani University Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic and Students Affairs) Grade 13 Vacancies in Mombasa
Responsibilities
Compiling programs on offer from schools and submit the same to KUCCPS to facilitate Government Sponsored Admissions.
Coordinating the assigning of registration numbers, preparation of admission letters and facilitating the dispatch of letters to qualified candidates.
Communicating to KUCCPS on issues related to KUCCPS programs.
Organizing for the registration exercise for both new students and continuing students.
Compiling undergraduate/post graduates programs of offer from schools and prepare for advertisement of the same.
Prepare instruments for evaluation of applications into various programs.
Attend to students request i.e. inter/intra school transfer, inter university transfer, deferments/ Semester offs, resumption/re-admission.
Responding to questions on admission procedures from prospective students and the public.
Coordinating with schools the evaluation and validation of applicants against laid down criteria.
Communicating to sponsors and other interested parties/ organizations on issues related to the progress of the students.
Preparing reports as requested by stakeholders e.g. CUE, MoEST, KUCCPS, KVB, NCK etc.
Attending evaluation and validation of applications meetings as organized for schools.
Ensure students records are well kept.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a have a Masters Degree in any academic field of study from a recognized University.
