Job Description

Skilled in both Caucasian and Afro hairstyles for male and female clients.

Engage with clients to understand their hair care needs, preferences, and desired outcomes.

Provide professional advice on hair care, styles, and treatments.

Perform hair cutting and styling services, including trims, layers, and advanced cuts.

Create hairstyles that range from classic to contemporary, including updos, blowouts, and other styling techniques.

Apply hair colouring, highlights, and other colour treatments using safe and effective techniques.

Provide hair treatments, such as conditioning, keratin treatments, and scalp therapies.

Recommend and sell hair care products suited to clients' needs.

Stay updated on the latest hair care trends, products, and techniques.

Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace,

including tools and equipment.

Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations as per the salon's guidelines.

Ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all clients.

Handle client complaints or concerns professionally, striving to resolve them efficiently.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with industry trends.

Attend workshops or courses as required by the salon.

Qualifications

A certification or diploma in hairdressing from a recognized institution.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a hairdresser in a reputable salon.

Experience with diverse hair types and textures is highly desirable.

Proficiency in various hair cutting, styling, and coloring techniques.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of current hairdressing trends and techniques.

Creativity and attention to detail.

Professionalism and a client-oriented approach.

Flexibility and ability to work well within a team.
