Public Service Commission Senior Deputy Director, Health Management (Infrastructure, Equipment & Projects Management) Jobs in Kenya



For Appointment to This Grade, a Candidate Must Have: -

  • Served for a minimum period of three (3) years at the grade of Deputy DirectorMedical Services, CSG ‘6’ or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service;

  • A Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry,
    Nursing, Medical Engineering, Clinical Medicine/Higher National Diploma in clinical
    medicine, Health Economics, Health Financing, Actuarial Science, or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;

  • A Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Health System Management, Public Health, International Health Care Management, Global Health, Project Management, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Medical Engineering Health Financing, Actuarial Sciences or equivalent qualification from a university
    recognized in Kenya;

  • Been registered and licensed by a recognized regulatory body as applicable;

  • A Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable; and

  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competencies in work performance and results.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will include -

  • Coordinating the development, implementation and review of policies, strategies, legislations, guidelines, frameworks, norms, tools, regulations, plans, and standards on infrastructure, projects and grants management;

  • Mobilizing resources for infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Facilitating capacity building and providing technical support to MDAs and countylevel staff on infrastructure, projects and
    grants management;

  • Coordinating the preparation and presentation of reports and other information related to infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Coordinating the identification of health resource gaps and priorities in infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Establishing linkages with relevant stakeholders in infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Spearheading the determination of infrastructure, projects, and grants management
    variables in the integrated digital healthcare system;

  • Establishing performance goals and measures to evaluate performance in infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Spearheading Business Process Re-engineering in infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Providing lead in health financing surveys and monitoring trends in infrastructure, projects, and grants management;

  • Facilitating customer satisfaction surveys in infrastructure, projects, and grants management; and

  • Coordinating the implementation of projects and programs in infrastructure, projects, and grants management
