For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines; Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Transport Economics, or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under
the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level
will include:-

Collecting data on Accident Statistics and road safety matters;

Developing draft proposals for planning of non–motorized and inter-mediate means of transport;

Addressing road traffic congestion and pollution in urban areas in conjunction with
stakeholders; and

Participating in road safety awareness campaigns
