Job DescriptionJob Summary The monitoring and Evaluation officer is responsible to monitor and review implementation of project/s and provide recommendation based on the monitoring and evaluation findings.
Accountabilities:
Develop and refine existing monitoring and evaluation tools in consultation with the immediate supervisor,
Organizes and/or conducts monitoring and internal reviews based on schedule.
Makes field visits to assess progress of projects
Support the designing and preparation internal evaluation plan and participate internal project evaluations,
Consolidate monitoring and evaluation findings /data and make available for the program/project coordinators and other uses,
Compile quarterly monitoring and evaluation report and submit to the supervisor.
Prepare summarized quarterly report (project based) for internal use
Support members of research/assessment team thereby contribute to ensure quality of documentation, learning and advocacy work carried out by the organization,
Share various data bases and profile documents for respective units and offices, so that they use as decision making tools.
Perform other related tasks when assigned by the immediate supervisor,
Implements the monitoring and evaluation guideline developed by the organization in close consultation with his /her immediate supervisor Support the collection of
best experiences and lessons learned and other publicity materials
Job Requirements
Qualification and skills Requirement:
BSC/BA degrees in statistics, IT, Demography, Sociology or equivalent
For BA at least three years’ experience (MA zero-year experience) in planning, designing, implementation, documentation, data entry and processing for management decision
Proven training and experiences in database development;
Proven experience in program monitoring and reporting;
Computer proficiency in Microsoft basics and internet (MS Word, Excel, Access and Power point);
Proven report writing and communication skills;
Good interpersonal and organizing skills;
Attitudes and attributes
Awareness of government policies and procedures
Skill in project formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation,
Awareness of donors’ funding and their policies,
Commitment to implementation of PADet Strategic Plan and Management documents,
Good communications and interpersonal skills,
Ability to withstand pressure,
Ability to make logical and timely decisions.
Personal Competency:
Willingness to work extra working hours and weekends with staffs;
Highly motivated, self-managed and strategic oriented;
High level commitment to achieve project goal and objectives;
Able to work with minimum supervision;
Terms of employment: subject to performance of the employee and project period Ability to prepare and submit reports timely
