Pride Microfinance Regional Manager Jobs in Uganda

Main Purpose of the Job

Drive business growth by providing leadership to branches in implementing the business strategy and ensure compliance

Specific Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate the operations of branches in the region to ensure that they meet the annual set targets.

Monitor all loans disbursed in adherence to the approval limits

Ensure compliance of all branches in the region to the policies and procedures of Pride’s and BOU set targets.

Periodic reports on activities in the region to Senior Manager Credit Products.

Follow up and recover written off loans and support branches in recovery.

Lead and manage the performance of the staff.

Person Specifications

• Should be a strategic thinker with high degree of innovativeness, creativity and ambition. Should have strong business and analytical skills. Should have a track record of integrity; well organized and knowledgeable in credit policies and procedures. Should also be a team player, self-starter with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate staff towards achieving individual set targets and the overall regional targets.

• Should be willing to work in any of the 9 regions, where Pride has operations.

• Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, with strong work ethics, and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

• Should be customer centric.

• Should possess

a strong personality of impact and influence that pulls colleagues together to build a strong team.

• Should be an outstanding leader and change agent with the business acumen and the ability to foster a productive working environment.

• He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.

Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Microfinance, Development Economics, Development studies, Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Financial Services, Business Computing, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Social Science, SWASA, Education or in any other relevant / related field.

Post graduate diploma in a related field.

At least 4 years’ experience in a similar or related position.

2 principle passes at A’ Level

Credit or passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.
