Pride Microfinance Limited Business Systems Manager Jobs in Uganda

Job Description

The Business Systems Manager will be based at Head Office and will report directly to the Head of ICT.

He/she will be responsible for designing, developing and monitoring ICT business systems, database and applications in line with business strategies and operational requirements

Specific Responsibilities

Overseeing application development efforts to introduce new technology tools/applications that address the changing business requirements.

Plan, design, develop/customize and install enterprise databases.

Maintain database security.

Perform system database integrations.

Maintain business continuity preparedness for enterprise databases by implementing disaster recovery procedures/activities.

Prepare database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary and capacity planning.

Plan, control and maintain section annual budget and manage business application contracts and vendor service level agreements.

Maintain database and application integrity by ensuring database and application parameters, objects and access are standardized and managed.

Manage and supervise IT staff within the Business Systems Section

Person Specifications

Should be a good communicator with good analytical, administration, multi-tasking, reporting and interpersonal skills.

Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, with strong work ethics, integrity and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Should possess a strong personality of impact and influence that pulls colleagues together to build a strong team.

Should be an outstanding leader and change agent with the business acumen and the ability to foster a productive working environment.

He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.

Minimum academic qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field.

• Good grades in Mathematics at A’ level (Either A, B or C).

• Professional qualifications in MCDBA, Microsoft SQL, DBA and knowledge of any other DBMS like Oracle, Sybase.

• At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position.

• 2 principle passes at A’ Level

• Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.

• Having of IT Infrastructure Library and Microsoft Certified IT Professional is an added advantage.
