Pride Microfinance ICT Security Manager Jobs in Uganda

The ICT Security Manager reports to the Head ICT and will be based at Head Office. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing ICT security of networks, servers and applications that is in line with Pride’s ICT policy and respond to security events and alerts to ensure the stable operations of the organization’s IT system.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Promoting business continuity through
implementing security measures in compliance with
Pride’s policies and procedures.

• Ensuring implementation of periodic revision of IT security strategy, policies and standards as per the business requirements.

• Ensuring the security and safety of corporate
databases and IT infrastructure against viruses,
hackers and intruders.

• Developing, maintaining, reviewing and regularly
updating ICT Policies.

• Organizing and conducting training for staff in IT Security.

• Overseeing the regular update and maintenance of
the registers of physical access to the bank server rooms at all times, showing the times and dates staff and non-staff enter and leave the server rooms.

• Supervising the selection, acquisition and
maintenance of current, cost effective and
appropriate security technology products for
network, systems and data.

• Plan, design and carry out testing of the disaster recovery plan (DRP).

• Setting up and maintain security measures within
the Organization, including regularly reviewing all Pride systems users in compliance with the IT.

• Coordinating and review Network and Server
Vulnerability Assessments.

• Monitoring and manage an end point/host security
system on all Pride Computers.

• Being up to date with emerging security trends,
risks, new guidelines or standards (internal and
external) and security enhancing technologies.

Minimum Academic Qualifications, Experience &
competences:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/IT or any
other relevant/related field.

• Professional IT security certifications such as
CISSP/GIAC/SSCP/ CISA.

• Cisco Certifications CCNA, CCNP & Certified Ethical Hacker are added advantage.

• Should possess at least 4 years’ experience in a
related field and should not be more than 40 years
of age.
