Our Client, a Leading and the most innovative paint company in East Africa providing tailor made solutions to the construction and retail segments of the market with innovative products, services and world class after-sales support is urgently seeking to hire a talented, enthusiastic and well organized Public Relations and Communications Manager.
The successful candidate will plan and ensure flawless execution of marketing communications initiatives that support the marketing strategy, building the brand and engaging clients by performing the following duties;
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and support the company’s communication strategy, management of the web sites and social media content
Develop and support all marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, online support materials, and video content
Act as the company spokesperson
Speaking in public at presentations, press conferences, interviews, and meetings on our clients products
Lead and support public relations and press announcements by our client with business partners and clients
Cultivate and maintain media relationships and relationships with other key opinion formers
Work with the team to enhance the media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns on various media channels
Manage all internal and external events with clients and/or employees so as to maximize the outcome of Marketing and Communications initiatives
Participate in the implementation of EHS / ISO and good housekeeping standards
To perform any
other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, PR/Communication or any other related field with a Psychology (added advantage) background from a recognized institution
Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management
Must have at least 5 years of experience in PR & Communications Management
In-depth knowledge of PR & Communications principles and practices
Current with relevant technology trends and applications
Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally to all levels ofmanagement
Results-oriented, detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and willing to work beyond normal scheduled work hours as necessary
Organizational skills and the ability to be proactive and take initiative
