Port Clerk Job in Mombasa, Kenya

Our client, one of the world’s leading logistic providers provider is seeking to bring on board a Port Clerk.



Responsibilities


  • Customs clearance of airfreight shipments at Moi Int. Airport;
  • Processing and preparation of customer files in readiness for customs clearance;
  • Co-coordinating with Nairobi airfreight team for timely shipments’ clearance;
  • Ensuring customs duties and taxes are paid on time.


    Qualifications


  • Minimum of Diploma in clearing and freight forwarding;
  • 2 years’ experience in port operations;
  • Good KCSE grades and a diploma or certificate in computer studies;


    Desired Competencies


  • Computer literate (this is a must);
  • Good command of spoken and written English;
  • Great analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Team player;
  • Focused;
  • Mature;
  • Honest.
