The Program Manager will contribute to the ambitious vision of the Innovation Hub which represents PSI’s commitment to support in the development of a new generation of Kenyan technology professionals capable of providing forward-deployed, responsive, sustainable digital systems support across the PSI network.

Your contributionThe Program Manager will: Supervise a team of support staff focused on DHIS2 project implementation, data quality and data use activities across PSI countries; provide regular updates of progress to Senior Program Manager (SPM)
Review and guide the project requirements working in conjunction with DHIS2 system architects to translate business and data requirements into data flows, DHIS2 models/architecture and dashboards
Act as a focal point for country offices involved in the deployment of DHIS2 implementations and other technologies to provide status updates and track progress of activities

Lead on the development of project work
plans and budgets, working in conjunction with country teams, support teams in HQ and the SPM to ensure timely execution and spending
Supervise on learning and knowledge management by generating documentation to be shared with the PSI DHIS2 community
Supervise the customer service provided on the PSI DHIS2 helpdesk by monitoring the system reports and provide corrective actions
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly ambitious individual with a passion in public health and a focus on timely execution by leading and inspiring a team of dedicated professionals. In particular, we are looking for:
5-7 years of project management experience, including management and guidance of teams, with a proven track record of managing complex projects, preferably with a strong technology component
Experience in the international development field, preferably for USAID, Global Fund and other donors
Proven knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation and strategic use of information
Highly organized, proactive, and a self-starter
Great writing and communication skills – able to clearly depict nuanced or complex ideas and manage competing expectations among multiple project stakeholders
Great power point skills – able to ‘translate’ ideas / takeaways from discussions into professional grade outputs.
Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (e.g., communications, public health, marketing, journalism, social sciences, or anthropology).
What would get us excited?
Interest in new technology and finding creative ways to use it to solve real problems
Fluent in French or Portuguese
Experience with data visualization in Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau
All applicants must be based in Kenya with permission to work. PSI will not provide work permits.
The timeframe is 12 months with a possibility of extension. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
