Responsibilities:Detailed duties and Responsibilities:
Timely processing payments to external and/or internal clients and attending to queries arising from the same
Invoice matching to purchase orders, contracts, goods received notes and other relevant supporting documents before processing payment
As part of other general book keeping duties, checking correctness of accounting codes on transaction documents before recording in QuickBooks Enterprise Accounting system
Recording verified and approved invoices in QuickBooks Enterprise system.
Recording commodity distribution transactions in QuickBooks Enterprise System.
Processing Travel Advance disbursements and reconciliations.
Following up on outstanding advances issued to staff and ensuring that they reconcile before they are issued additional travel advances
Conduct follow-ups on all redeemable deposits with various service provider organizations and making sure that all outstanding claims are resolved timeously.
Vendor accounts and other balance sheet accounts reconciliations
Performing treasury function roles including monitoring bank balances and reporting to the Finance Manager.
Petty cash custodian and petty cash management on imprest basis
Assist during financial audits by helping provide Auditors with documents sampled for verification
Assist in the preparation & compilation of
monthly financial reports
Conducting periodic stock counts and reconciliations in liaison with the Senior Finance Officer
Timely processing of Payroll related statutory remittances and other withholding taxes
Filling, maintaining and updating financial accounting records according to policies and procedures
Qualifications
South Sudanese Nationals only with National ID card.
Applicants should have a minimum of Diploma in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration or equivalence.
At least 2 years of proven working experience in a similar position or as Cashier.
Previous work experience with NGO is desirable.
Proven, excellent and proficient core Computer skills e.g. Microsoft word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and Record keeping skills.
Ability to use Quick books and other accounting packages.
Must be honest and trust worthy in all financial transactions and keeping information confidential.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
