Plumber Jobs in Kenya

Job Summary

The Plumber Is responsible for maintaining the flow and drainage of water, sewer, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems and installations in the Organization's facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of all plumbing installations.

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, writer, drainage, sprinkler and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.

• Receive and complete work orders.

• Sated material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.

• Respond to emergency calls when required.

• Maintain accurate records on materiel and labor used and report weekly.

• Maintain inventory of the organisation's owned tools, equipment, and materials.

• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean and safe_

• Work with building principals and supervisors to complete ongoing projects.

• Detect needed repair's on buildings, grounds and equipment following established Inspection procedures_

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

• Provide support during absences or shortage

of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• Academic: Must possess Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (plain) and above.

• Professional: Must hold a Government Trade Test Grade I In Plumbing.

• A Diploma In Plumbing and Pipe fining is an added advantage.

• Fist less than three (3) years working experience as a plumber, after attaining Trade Test I qualification.
