Plant Operator Job at At Nyayo Tea Zones Development CorporationReporting to Factory Manager, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all value addition machinery and equipment are properly maintained for effective operations of the value addition section.
Responsibilities for the Plant Operator Job
Adhere to and implement policies and strategies on maintenance and servicing of value addition machinery and equipment.
Develop maintenance and servicing schedules for all value addition machinery.
Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of all machinery and equipment.
Inspect, test, repair, maintain and service machinery and equipment.
Proper record keeping of all factory value addition machinery and equipment.
Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and environment regulations.
Ensure provision of safe working conditions within the factory value addition section and eliminate hazards and risks.
Prepare and avail information and reports on all activities.
Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Plant Operator Job Qualifications
KCSE C(Plain) or equivalent
National Diploma in mechatronics or mechanical engineering (plants option) or equivalent qualification
Three (3) years’ experience in factory maintenance
Excellent communication and networking skills
Works with integrity and ethically
Ability to inspire, mobilize and provide guidance to staff
Be a team player
High level of maturity
Be self-motivated
Problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications.
Note:All candidates must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity, and obtain appropriate certification from the;
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Directorate of Criminal Investigations,
High Education Loans Board (HELB).
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
