Responsibilities
Ensure that all sponsorship communication items are accurately entered into the child data system before the close of every month.
Tracking and processing of incoming communications in a timely manner and as provided for by the sponsorship guidelines.
Ensure all outgoing communications are processed in child data system after quality checks to meet corporate requirements.
Utilization of the child data system as per Plan International policies. This is as regarding access, uploading, extracts processing, and use of admin utility.
Regular tracking and updating of to-do’s to aid in timely feedback.
Maintain a good filing system for sponsored children data (cancelled files) in the office.
Ensure availability of credible and usable sponsorship information in child data system
Provide monthly feedback to sponsorship field staff and partners to enhance quality communication products.
Ensure all processed sponsored children files are dispatched to the field in a timely and organized manner.
Qualifications
Diploma in community Development or related field.
Computer literate (MS Office Word, Internet Explorer, Excel etc.)
At least two years’ experience working in similar position.
Fluent in written and oral English and Kiswahili.
Computer skills and Internet knowledge.
Proven typewriting and proof reading skills.

Plan NGO Grants Officer (Tulinde Tusome Project) Kilifi/Kwale Jobs Opportunities in Kenya
Responsibilities
Assist the team to understand donor compliance requirements such as reporting timelines, adherence to standard practices regarding procurement guidelines, audit reports, etc. in compliance with the signed contract by the funding institution.
Monitoring Grants Portfolio by running funds utilization and other reports from SAP and sharing with Project teams, Grants Manager and Area Manager and support to flag key areas of concern/challenges for timely intervention.
Learn and follow Plan processes and relevant donor requirements.
Understanding of the SAP system, maintaining and driving data quality.
Support to finance to ensure effective cost recovery of donor funded grants in compliance to Plan cost recovery policy.
Basic understanding of donor compliance and development of compliance checklists when needed.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management
Professional qualification in Business, International Development, Finance/Accounting or similar.
At least 3 years’ experience managing grants, contracts & sub agreements with knowledge of major funders’ guidelines (e.g. USAID, European Commission, DFID, CIDA, SIDA etc.)
Relevant experience managing donor funded projects with International NGO’s particularly those addressing human/children’s rights and those applying partnership approaches will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical skills, computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
Ability to work well with a team and establish relationships with
other teams/offices.
Cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Highly developed interpersonal and English communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
Experience working with implementing partners and managing sub grants.
Excellent time management and planning capacity.

Plan NGO Data Management Officer - Nairobi Jobs Opportunities in Kenya
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing project database and sharing quality data with project team as guided by M&E Advisor.
Establish data quality systems which will ensure collection, entry, interpretation and utilization of high quality data.
Track and present project indicator findings to project teams for strengthening project implementation and performance.
Develop and implement relevant capacity building activities using evidence-based tools as guided by M&E Advisor.
Perform regular data analysis and support project team in compilation of regular project reports informed by quality and timely data.
Work closely with informatics team to facilitate development and integration of Nilinde sub-systems to CPIMS.
Become the go-to person for data needs, system user support and troubleshooting at SDP and Nilinde level.
Supporting M&E Coordinators and County Coordinators with regular data needs.
Support implementation of data quality activities and ensure institutionalization of RDQA at LIP level.
Contribute to timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities and results to the donor, including progress reports, and annual reports.
Coordinate capture of geo-coordinates for all project service providers.
Responsible for leading the ICT technical approach across all results areas.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technology graduate degree with post-graduate level training.
A minimum of 3 years in designing and implementing robust Management Information System in social and development projects with specific focus on OVC and Child Protection.
Demonstrated experience in complex project data needs, data handling and use of data analysis technologies including software packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS in addition to knowledge of MS Access, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to objectively analyze complex data primary and secondary data and present it in simple understandable information for diverse audience.
Project work experience with open source technology, social media, online community portals, mobile technology, and on/off connectivity solutions.
Experience working with Government of Kenya and bilateral/multi-lateral donor agencies, preferably USAID/USG funded projects.
A team player with demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others as well as being experienced in contributing to knowledge generation and project learning agenda among partners including government structures.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, writing, and oral presentation skills.
Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
