    The Opportunity

  • As the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Specialist you will provide technical guidance, leadership and facilitation in the design, research and implementation of Plan International South Sudan’s programmes. You will lead the implementation of Plan’s Program Accountability and Learning System (PALS) and you will manage its core activities.

  • In this role
    you will promote, facilitate, coordinate and lead the capacity building of Plan Staff, partners and communities in PALS issues and you will participate in Plan’s PALS network to enhance Plan’s programme performance.

  • You will also lead Plan staff and partners in research and documentation of programme practices whilst showing a commitment to our safeguarding policy.

    The Individual

  • We are looking to recruit a strategic individual who has over 5 years’ experience in leading MEAL in a humanitarian and development context.

  • You will have demonstrable experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems in large complex programmes and you will be able to conduct research, interpret results and produce high quality reports.

  • You will also have an understanding of South Sudan’s development issues, trends, challenges, opportunities and implications to community development.

  • To be successful in this role, you will have strong negotiating, facilitating and influencing skills as well as excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • You will be proficient in computer skills, especially Microsoft applications and the use of statistical packages like STATA and SPSS and you will also have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
