Description Our client, Enterprise Singapore (ESG) is the Singapore government agency championing enterprise development. ESG works with Singapore-based companies to build capabilities innovate and internationalize. ESG also supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups. With a global network in over 36 locations spanning developed and emerging markets, ESG connects businesses with relevant Singapore companies for their business expansion.
To support the organisation’s mandates, ESG is seeking to recruit a self-driven, result-oriented, internationally exposed individual with high integrity to fill the following position:
Business Development Manager – HR/BDM/PKF 01
The Business Development Manager is to be part of the team at Enterprise Singapore (Kenya) Ltd, the branch office of Enterprise Singapore in Nairobi. The Nairobi office covers more than 10 countries in the East Africa region.
Responsibilities:
Assist Singapore companies in entering the markets under the Nairobi Overseas Centre’s coverage;
Gather market intelligence and monitoring news and developments;
Support the Regional Director in the organization of marketing trips, missions and other events, as assigned;
Promote Singapore as a vibrant trading hub;
Any other duties as assigned by the Regional Director and Enterprise Singapore Headquarters.
Requirements:
A minimum of a
bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline from a reputable university;
A minimum of five (5) of working experience two (2) of which must be in business development, market analysis, marketing or related fields;
Evident interest in international trade and investment promotion, business development, sales and marketing;
Proven ability to conduct accurate research and compile concise clear reports and presentations;
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; good interpersonal and analytical skills;
Good command of spoken and written English is mandatory;
Dynamic, versatile and well-rounded personality;
Candidates with business or project development experience with foreign trade development agencies, private and/ or public sector are preferred
