Job Description

PIN is looking for qualified female candidate for Field Officer (IYCF) position of the project entitled “Participatory Development of Productive Landscapes in Sidama Zone, SNNPR, Ethiopia (August 2017 to December 2020)”

Design IYCF activities (elaborate proposed activities, time schedule, establish the system for M&E)
Ensure an excellent working relationship with project team and other stakeholders (including woreda government experts, health extension workers, development agents, health development armies and the target population)
Design training modules for target groups of nutritionally vulnerable households
Preparation and submission of weekly plan of actions, progressive reports, cash needs, transport request
Continuous follow up and observation on project activities at community level and provide necessary technical support to beneficiaries under his/her immediate supervision/control
Adhere to all donor’s and PIN’s guidelines and policies
Project document – understanding the project narrative, logframe, output table, time table and work plan

Job Requirements

B.Sc. Degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health, Public Nutrition or other related fields of study.

Above 2 years of experience in related area.

Considerable experience of community-based agriculture and nutrition projects (including Positive Deviance Approach or low-cost cooking demonstrations)

Excellent analytical, facilitation, team work and interpersonal skills

Excellent written communications and experience of producing high quality training guidelines.

Organizational and project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines

Excellent knowledge of spoken & written Amharic and English. Fluency in local languages (Sidamigna) will be an advantageous.

Project document – understanding the project narrative, log frame, output table, time table and work plan
