Position Summary
Pathfinder International Kenya is looking for a candidate with excellent technical skills to provide support to Count and Sub-County Health Management Teams and health facility staff in the successful implementation of nutrition program activities targeting people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Afya Pwani supported sites. The Program officer will ensure that nutritional assessment counselling and support is offered to PLHIV, mother-baby pairs and their family members as part of the standard package of care for PLHIV.

Responsibilities
Support County level development of concepts and strategies that aim to address causes of malnutrition and effective and sustainable means to address them.
Facilitate establishment and maintenance of appropriate coordination mechanisms.
Support County Nutrition Officers to secure commitments from partners for collective sector work, ensuring the complementarities of the various stake holder’s actions in responding to nutrition priorities.
Provide technical leadership and capacity support to Sub-County Health Management Teams (SCHMTs), facilities and partners in the modelling and delivery of nutrition services in line with County Nutrition Action Plans.
Support the application/ implementation and adherence to existing policies, strategies, standards and guidelines on Nutrition.
Support County nutrition sectors to identify and develop nutrition related advocacy and communication strategies and messages for the purposes of increasing the profile of nutrition amongst all stakeholders.
Implement participatory Behavior Change Communication (BCC) methods targeting nutrition behavior change.
Collaborate with the commodity management team to support strengthening of the integrated nutrition supply chain system.
Support facilities to use the integrated supply chain systems, to improve the efficiency in forecasting, ordering, distribution, monitoring and reporting of essential nutrition supplies.
Provide guidance to health facilities to ensure that Nutritional Assessment Counselling and Support (NACS) services are provided to all HIV positive clients in the Afya Pwani program.
Qualifications
A minimum Bachelor’s in Human Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Science and Nutrition.
At least five (5) years post training substantive working experience in field of nutrition.
Experience in addressing nutritional issues in HIV/Tuberculosis (TB) and maternal, neonatal and child health (MNCH) is essential.
Experience and skills in providing technical assistance in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics services.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Solid training and capacity building experience.
Willingness to travel.
Ability to work independently.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili.

Position Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Technical Advisor, under the leadership of the Chief of Party (COP) will develop and implement an overall program M&E strategy for all the Kenya Country Office (KCO) projects and frameworks that will ensure timely information and feedback to partners and key stakeholders;
Responsibilities
Provide overall guidance in the development and implementation of all KCO projects M&E strategies and framework.
As a Line Manager for Program Officers working on the various programs, provide leadership and support to
mentor their abilities.
Support the design, implementation, and management of an M&E systems that will generate timely information and feedback to partners and other program stakeholders.
Provide a key role in decision making to communicate and manage information effectively and to access data and information systems, policies, and products that facilitate efficient decision-making in KCO.
Develop systems, forums, protocols, and policies that facilitate communications between the program teams and other partners and key stakeholders.
Plan for and conduct monitoring activities and ensure accurate and timely reporting to USAID and other donors. Ensure quality control data collection instruments and tools, including their use.
Compile, analyze, and present data for reporting of program progress and impact, and quality assurance.
Capture lessons learned and best practices, document and disseminate information, assist with developing presentations, abstracts, articles, etc.
Leverage resources to provide institutional capacity building support and on-going coaching and mentoring to partners and other key stakeholders in M&E.
Qualifications
Documented knowledge of data analysis software (e.g. SAS, STATA, GenStat, SPSS Epi-Info, Epi-Data, Epi-Info, ENA for SMART, Nudist, INVIVO) and basic computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases) is required.
Experience in setting up databases and statistical analysis of data and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Demography, Sociology, Epidemiology, Bio-statistics, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in public health project monitoring, evaluating, and operations research, with at least three years of specific experience with USAID.
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with behavioral surveillance surveys, research methodologies, qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, sampling techniques, and establishing M&E systems in Kenya.

Position Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will report to the Chief of Party (COP) and will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the program monitoring and evaluation framework and information system to track delivery against targets, outcomes and impacts.
Responsibilities
Supervise routine performance monitoring across all programs and provided feedback to programs.
Providing on-going strategic information focused technical assistance (TA), guidance and support to programs and proposal writing processes.
Lead responsibility and accountability for developing quality data synthesis reports and guided the generation of technical scientific publications/publishable papers that fitted perfectly within thematic program knowledge management agenda.
Primarily responsible for steering the strategic information thematic programming agenda for Pathfinder that involved development a robust M&E plan with integrated and linked M&E frameworks, data quality and data use plans responsive to the information needs of the varied program audiences and ensured that all M&E processes adhere to institutional framework.
Qualifications
A post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as M&E, Statistics, Bio-informatics, Mathematics or Public health.
At least seven (7) years of experience.
A firm command of the M&E issues with respect to improvements in quality integrated service and support programs.
Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing M&E systems that track performance as per the objectives of this program (e.g. service integration, performance against each funding stream).
Demonstrated analytical skills to measure the outcomes of the project’s activities and support project supervision.
Excellent management and organizational skills suitable for a complex environment with multiple competing priorities, short deadlines, and performance pressure; excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Demonstrate tact and diplomacy in dealing with implementing partners, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to proactively identify and address data issues or needs.
