PATH invites application for Monitoring and Evaluation Lead position based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Responsibilities
Develop a project monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system that routinely collects data on key performance indicators/metrics with a repository of all project related data.
Lead the development and implementation of a performance monitoring plan that will collect, compile, analyze, present and report data for performance measurement to show program progress and impact.
Routinely develop data visualization materials for presentation of project results in forums such as monthly/quarterly data review meetings.
Lead in generation of periodic donor and other stakeholders’ program performance reports.
Lead implementation of surveillance system, establish and oversee data quality assurance process, and consolidate lessons learned and make evidence based recommendations for sustainability.
Participate in strengthening and implementing of AMR National action plan.
Lead in designing and implementing assessments as may arise from time to time.
As a member of the in-country project management team, participate in design and implementation of project activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and project partners, academic institutions, and donors in the area of monitoring and evaluation.
Required Experience
Education
At least a Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics or relevant discipline.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience and demonstrated skills in monitoring and evaluation of health and related programs. At least 5 years M&E experience with donor-funded projects is required.
Experience in providing technical assistance and conducting capacity building activities in relation to monitoring and evaluation
Experience in managing and supervising a monitoring and evaluation team of data collectors
and program officers preferred.
Experience in successfully managing and implementing a surveillance system will be preferred.
Skills
Demonstrated understanding of and familiarity with a range of applied research and monitoring and evaluation approaches including health information and data management systems.
Knowledge on surveillance system and data protection guidelines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capacity to analyze data, monitor progress, and recommend necessary recourse for maximizing program progress and impact.
Ability to oversee data collection at various levels and ensure accuracy and clarity of data interpretations.
Strong quantitative analytical skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues and other stakeholders.
Good knowledge of AMR surveillance including solid knowledge of key indicators related to institutional capacity building in data quality and use.
Knowledge and experience of surveillance systems will be preferred.
Ability to facilitate results oriented discussions with stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
