PATH Monitoring, Evaluation Learning Advisor Careers in Kenya
Responsibilities: Provide overall technical guidance and leadership on the implementation of the project monitoring, evaluation and learning
Develop a performance monitoring plan covering activities to compile, analyze and present data for reporting of program progress
In collaboration with the Deputy Chief of Party, lead preparation of annual work plans, quarterly reports and other deliverables
Develop suitable dissemination materials for sharing project related
Support operationalization of the M&E Plan by developing and managing an M&E system to serve as a repository of all project related M&E
Maintain and update the M&E system on an ongoing basis and generate needed reports to meet donor and other stakeholder
Lead implementation of assessments, establish, oversee data cleaning and entry procedures as per standard M&E practice at PATH and consolidate lessons learned.
Oversee data collection and monitoring activities at the target counties by the
Lead technical assistance to strengthen the government health information systems in capturing needed data to inform indicators and implementation processes.
Manage in-country communication with the third party evaluator of the project to ensure coordination and active exchange of data and learnings.
Required Experience
Master’s degree or higher in monitoring and evaluation, health informatics, public health, or related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience and demonstrated skills in monitoring and evaluation of health and related
At least 5 years M&E experience with donor-funded projects is required, preferably for USAID.
Experience in successfully managing and implementing the monitoring and evaluation of health programs in developing countries
Demonstrated knowledge and use of either Tableau software or SPSS required
Experience in providing technical assistance and conducting capacity building activities in relation to monitoring and evaluation
Experience in managing and supervising a monitoring and evaluation team of data collectors and program officers
Demonstrated understanding of and familiarity with a range of applied research and monitoring and evaluation approaches including health information and data management
Proven ability to motivate and mentor staff and create a positive team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capacity to analyze data, monitor progress, and recommend necessary recourse for maximizing program progress and impact.
Ability to oversee data collection at various levels to ensure accuracy and clarity of data interpretations.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Ability to facilitate results oriented discussions with stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English required; knowledge of Swahili an asset.
Experience in Kenya is
strongly preferred.
USAID cooperative agreement management experience highly preferred.
Ability to travel in-country as necessary; limited international travel expected.

PATH Deputy Chief of Party - Health Systems Strengthening Careers in Kenya
Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide technical guidance, technical assistance and capacity building in health systems strengthening to strengthen integrated service delivery in reproductive health, and maternal, new born, child and adolescent health.
Develop and disseminate tools and training materials to strengthen the capacity of staff and local partners on health systems strengthening and activities in reproductive health, and maternal, new born, child and adolescent health.
Monitor implementation of health systems strengthening and reproductive health, and maternal, new born, child and adolescent health related activities in the field and ensure timely completion of objectives.
Assemble and lead the health systems strengthening technical team to carry out assessments and capacity building exercises for local partners.
Produce and present papers at local, regional and international forums to share experiences and best practices.
Develop/produce contractual deliverables (quarterly, annual, field project evaluations, etc.) in conjunction with other key staff and external evaluators.
Work closely with Project staff and implementing partners to identify, document, and disseminate best practices.
Required Experience
A Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, international development, or other closely related field is required.
10+ years of experience in the implementation and management of international development projects, preferably within health.
Broad understanding of public health in Kenya.
Knowledge in the area of primary health care, reproductive health, and maternal, new born, child and adolescent health.
Proven skills in managing health related projects, building organizational capacity in health service delivery program, and use of host country and community level mechanisms.
