The purpose of these jobs is to strengthen academic leadership and innovation in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and in the relevant Departments.

Job Title: Clinical Coordinator – 1 Post

This position reports to the Head of Psychology Department and will support the efficient operations of the University Counseling Centre in both learning and income generation.

Minimum Requirements

Masters’ Degree in Counselling/Therapy.
Course/Training in Clinical Supervision
Registered member of a professional psychological/counselling organization.

Must have at least 2 years’ of experience in clinical counseling in a busy establishment preferably from a University context.

Administrative, coordination, and organizational skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Be of highest ethical standards, integrity, accountability and professionalism. Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination and Supervision

Manage the Community Clinical Practice Sites

Support Student Clinical Practice Placements

Oversee the day-to-day running of the Counselling Centre.

Provide administrative support to the Department of Psychology

Provide relational support to the students of the Department of Psychology Manage the Counseling Resource Center

Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor(s)

Requirements

Have at least 3 (three)y ears teaching experience at the University level in the relevant area;

Have experience in curriculum development and research

A minimum of at least two articles published in

refereed journals. (Minimum of 42 publication points)

Evidence of the ability to attract research funding is an added advantage.

Evidence in spearheading collaborations with relevant institutions to provide industry linkages for the enhancement of the department’s programmes and students’ exposure.

Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching;

Active involvement in Community service and outreach activities

Registered with the relevant professional body.

Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.
