Pact Inc. Kenya Country Office is hiring a Program Officer (Gold Focus), Mines to Markets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (at minimum) in Geosciences, Engineering, Mining, or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience working in international development
  • Experience working within ASGM contexts or on ASGM projects.
  • Experience in fund raising and ability to creating and professional relationships with donors, local partners, host governments and other implementing organizations,
  • Travel time required for this position is estimated to be 30% but can be up to 50%.

    Responsibilities
  • Fund raising and donor relations
  • Project management: Designing and implementing programs focusing on the diverse needs of the ASGM sector.
  • Support field offices in Africa by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks involved in working with the mining sector, including human security and health risks associated with gold mining.
