Pacis Insurance Business Development Manager Jobs in KenyaMain Duties And Responsibilities:Business GrowthDevelop in conjunction with sales team the revenue targets for specific channels of distribution
Monitor market share, conduct regular competitor analysis and drive goal setting for niche identification and market growth
Ensure business growth from the respective sources as per set targets
Manage relationship with key intermediaries (Brokers and Independent agents) and clients and other channels of distribution in order to maximize business volume and share performance
Recruit credible brokers and agencies and banks to partner with the company
Promote balanced product mix for various business sources to achieve the set targets.
Ensure to meet the sales targets by sourcing for new business through clients.
Facilitate business quotation by liaising with underwriting department and ensure to submit the quotation to the requesting brokers and agents in good time to allow for feedback on our competitiveness.
Follow up major renewals from the brokers agencies, banks to improve business retention, and reduce loss ratio
Ensure effective product launch and branding initiatives.
Provide information to enable regular updates on the website.
Participate in the development of interactive digital platforms for customers.
Keep the management aware of pertinent public attitudes and concerns so as to enable initiation of appropriate programs for image building
Client Relationship Management
Actively seek feedback on renewal process from allocated channels of distribution
Continuous visit to various clients for business negotiation ,major renewal and address issues arising with business
Co-ordinate the roll out of marketing and customer service strategies and promotional activities in the identified market segment.
Ensure that intermediaries who have credit facilities the terms are adhered with.
Attend to agents and brokers and handle their queries or any issues that may arise from time to time
Reports and compliance
Implement the
company policy, planning, strategy and business development plan
Preparation of bi monthly marketing reports on branches and direct sales performance
Analyze production and other marketing reports from assigned channels to provide information for business improvement, development and acquisition
Provide an analysis of business performance and reasons for variations from the set targets.
Gather Market intelligence from the competition and feedback such information to management
Analyze marketing information and feedback for products, and manage review and development of products within set committee
Supervisory Role
Supervise the Sales team allocated to the unit and ensure business growth as per targets set
Manage staff matters in the section including on-boarding, performance management, staff development, on-the-job training, discipline etc.
Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Nature And Scope:
Internal Contacts: Business Development Manager, Branch Managers, Agency Managers, Senior Marketing Officer, Customer Service Officer, Business Development Executives, Operations team.
External Contacts: Catholic dioceses, Church affiliates, banks, independent agents, loss adjustors.
Minimum Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in in Business Administration or Bachelors of Commerce
ACII/ FCII or equivalent.
Chartered Institute of Marketing
Five (5) years’ supervisory experience in an insurance or other financial services organization.
Supervisory skills
Adept influencer and negotiator.
Tenacious.
Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Good selling and deal closing skills.
Listening and problem solving
Good planning and organization skills.
High integrity
